ANIMAL WASTE STORAGE ORDINANCE
The purpose of this chapter is to regulate the management and utilization, including land application, of animal manure; to regulate the location, design, construction, installation, alteration, closure, and use of animal manure storage facilities and animal feeding operations so as to protect the health and safety of residents.

No person may undertake an activity subject to this chapter without obtaining an Animal Manure Permit from Taylor County LCC.

MANURE STORAGE TECHNICAL DESIGN SERVICES
- Up to 250,000 / $3,000
- 250,000 - 2,000,000 / $7,000
- 2,000,000 - 5,000,000 / $10,000
- 5,000,000 - 8,000,000 / $15,000
- More than 8,000,000 / $15,000 + $0.005 per gallon over 8,000,000 gallons
25% of the manure storage technical services fee will be due up-front and is non-refundable
MANURE TRANSFER TECHNICAL DESIGN SERVICES
- $500
- New or replacement of transfer line with or without pump into an existing manure storage
- Manure storage alteration to earthen manure structure
- New precast concrete tank with Huffcutt gutter system or other transfer system
- New pump hopper with Huffcutt gutter system or other transfer system
- $1,500
- New concrete tank not precast with Huffcutt gutter system or other transfer system
- Manure storage alteration to plastic-lined or concrete manure structure
