Commission on Aging Committee

Taylor County Commission on Aging invites the public’s input on the proposed 2022-2024 Aging Unit Plan.  The Older Americans Act requires agencies to engage in thoughtful planning with older people and the communities where they live.  A basic principle of the Older Americans Act is to plan with, not for, older people.  This ensures services are relevant to the local community.  The public will be able to provide input on the draft 2022-2024 Aging Unit Plan in person at the public hearing on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room – 845 E Broadway Ave, Medford.  You can participate in the hearing remotely using the internet address or phone numbers listed in the meeting information above.  Copies of the draft plan are available at the Commission on Aging office, 845B E Broadway Ave, Medford, WI 54451 and can be picked up from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday.  Copies are also available at Taylor County Senior Dining Centers.  Written comments on the plan will be accepted at the same address until 4:30 PM on November 4, 2021.  Questions on the draft 2022-2024 Aging Unit Plan or the planning process can be directed to Nathanael Brown at (715) 748-1491
