Notice of Public Hearing – Taylor County Farmland Preservation Plan

A public hearing to discuss the proposed Taylor County Farmland Preservation Plan shall be held at the Taylor County Courthouse, County Board Room located at 224 S 2nd Street, Medford, WI 54451. The public hearing will take place October 12, 2021, at 9 a.m. Public comments will be accepted until the end of the public hearing.

The purpose of the proposed farmland preservation plan is to help provide guidance for the use of agriculture and rural lands while trying to minimize conflicts between farm and non‐farmland uses. The intent of this plan is to meet the minimum requirements of Chapter 91 of Wisconsin State Statutes as well as to establish a local vision for agricultural preservation, agricultural development, and the development of agricultural enterprises in Taylor County.
