DESCRIPTION:Public Open House for Review of a\nCountywide All-Hazards Mitigation Plan\nAt the\nTaylor County Fairgrounds – Community Building\nAt the intersection of Hwy 13 & 64 \nAugust 17th\, 2026\n12:00pm to 1:00pm\nTaylor County is currently updating its countywide All-Hazards Mitigation Plan. The purpose of this All-Hazard Mitigation Plan is to (1) assist the county in identifying and reducing its risk from natural and human-caused hazards; (2) identify actions that can be taken to prevent damage to property and loss of life\, (3) and prioritize funding for mitigation efforts. This project is being funded by a grant allocated by the Wisconsin Emergency Management Agency and funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. \nThe Taylor County Emergency Management Department is holding a public open house on August 17th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the Community Building at the Fairgrounds at the intersection of Hwy 13 & 64. The purpose of the open house is to discuss the update of the Hazard Mitigation Plan\, describe the work completed to date\, and highlight some of the hazards that could present the greatest risks to the county.
