We are very excited about being able to offer such a great day of learning on September 27 for free to folks in central Wisconsin thanks to our partnerships with NTC and funding support from the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Foundation. Please make sure to still share with your contacts who can choose to either attend at your local campus or virtually. All are welcome! We also plan to record each session to post for future viewing on our YouTube (link) – which is another option to bring this event to your community.

A few updates for the upcoming event are below:

  • We are happy to report that we are completely covered for all of our sessions! The ‘final agenda’ is as follows…
    • 8:30-10 AM – Youth – Sara Kohlbeck with the Medical College of Wisconsin (online bio)
    • 10:15-11:45 AM – LGBTQ+ – Erica Steib with Mental Health America of Wisconsin & PRISM Program
    • 12-1:30 PM – Veterans – Carole Ewald and Alyssa Knoll with the Veterans Administration
    • 1:45-3:15 PM – Older Adults – Gena L. Orlando – Wisconsin Area Director for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
    • 3:30-5 PM – Farming – Darla Tyler-McSherry with Montana State University & Ask in Earnest
  • It will be the same virtual link all day, and people can transition in and out as they see fit for any in person attendees. This may be helpful for your local contacts, but they will have to register to receive that link.
  • There will be an optional QPR training for anyone who may be interested from 5:15-6 PM in person at NTC-Medford Campus. Plus, the local coalition in Taylor County will be hosting two free showings (5 PM and 7 PM) of the documentary, The Ripple Effect, featuring Kevin Hines at the Broadway Theater in Medford. Anyone is invited to attend either of these events.
