Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week
April 12, 2021 through April 16, 2021
Taylor County Emergency Management

Tornado and Severe Weather Awareness Week in Wisconsin will take place April 12th thru April 16th. This annual campaign encourages everyone in the state of Wisconsin to prepare for the tornadoes and severe storms the state frequently experiences during the spring and summer months.

On April 15th, two Taylor County tornado drills are planned. Taylor County Emergency Management will host a mock tornado warning at 1:45 p.m. The afternoon drill ends at 2:00 p.m. We encourage all community businesses/schools to practice their Tornado Drill plans.  An evening drill is scheduled on the same day with a mock tornado warning to take place at 6:45 p.m. This drill provides students and their families with a great opportunity to practice
severe weather safety plan at home.
