The Pirus Shooting Range was constructed in cooperation with Taylor County Sportsmen Club and Taylor County Forestry & Recreation Department.
Pirus Range Shooting Hours are as follows:
April – September
9 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Monday – Saturday
Noon – 5 p.m. Sunday
October – November
9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Saturday
Noon – 5 p.m. Sunday
December – March
Closed

Pirus Shooting Range rules are:
- Know your gun and how to use it safely
- Eye and ear protection required
- Keep muzzle pointed down range
- Open action while on bench
- Clear range before firing
- Be respectful of others
- Pick up your targets and empties
- No use of alcohol or drugs before or while shooting
- No glass, plastic, metal or wood on range
- No clay pigeons. Shotgun slugs and turkey pattern only.
Use of this range is a privilege not a right. Respect this area, as it can be taken away. If you observe unauthorized activities, call the Taylor County Sherriff’s Department at (715) 748-2200.
Pirus Shooting Range is 11 miles west of Medford on Pirus Road just south of Hwy 64.
